Duties

The Property & Casualty Insurance Group is looking for highly motivated individuals to join the Toronto office team in the position of Senior Supervisor. The Senior Supervisor is involved in the analysis and assessment of the risk profile and risk management practices of federally regulated property and casualty insurance companies.

Intent of the process

This selection process may be used to establish a pool of qualified candidates, which could be used to staff similar or identical positions with various linguistic profiles and requirements, security profiles and various tenures.

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION
● A university degree specializing in accounting, actuarial science, business, commerce, computer science, economics, mathematics or another relevant field OR a combination of education, experience and training.

Degree equivalency

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
● Recent and significant experience relating to the property and casualty insurance industry, including activities in one or more of the following areas:
- Compliance or risk management practices
- Management of business lines
- Financial analysis
- Audit
- Underwriting
- Actuarial and claims
- And/or recent and significant supervisory/regulatory/ other relevant financial services industry* experience.

*Financial services industry experience is defined as experience working in a financial institution, including banks, insurance companies, pension funds, wealth management firms, and accounting firms (dealing with audits), as well as government departments that directly deal with the supervision and regulation of these institutions.
