The intent of this process is to establish a pool of qualified candidates to staff positions at Environment and Climate Change Canada with various linguistic profiles and requirements (English essential, French essential, English or French essential, bilingual imperative BBB/BBB, bilingual imperative CBC/CBC), various tenures (indeterminate, term, acting and extensions) and with various security profiles (Reliability or Secret).

You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. EDUCATION:
Successful completion of secondary school.
EXPERIENCE:
Recent* experience** using Microsoft Office software such as Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point in a work environment.
Recent* experience** in working with integrated financial systems.
STREAM 1 ONLY:
Recent* experience** in the provision of accounting services within an organization such as the payment of invoices, billing, preparing bank deposits, processing travel claims or performing account verification.
STREAM 2 ONLY:
Recent* experience** in performing administrative services in at least four (4) of the following:
• Coordinating meetings;
• Coordinating teleconferences and/or videoconferences;
• Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence;
• Scheduling and organizing domestic or international travel arrangements, including preparing and/or verifying travel claims;
• Providing human resources services and support;
• Reconciling financial transactions;
• Verifying and paying invoices; and
• Creating contracts and/or purchase orders.
*Recent in the context of this advertisement is defined by being within the last 3 years.
**Experience in the context of this advertisement refers to the breadth and depth as well as the complexity of tasks that could be expected to have been obtained by carrying out the functions associated with full-time performance of duties over a period of at least 12 months.
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS:
A priority may be granted to candidates with higher education level in administration, management, finance, accounting or other fields of studies considered relevant to the position.
Recent* experience** with the Financial Management System SAP.
Recent* experience** in the application of policies, procedures or financial directives established by the Treasury Board of Canada.
Various language requirements
Bilingual Imperative BBB/BBB, Bilingual Imperative CBC/CBC, English essential, French essential, English or French essential.

Stream 1 only:
Knowledge of account receivables or account payables practices and controls.
Stream 2 only:
Knowledge of administrative procedures related to office management, including: records management and quality control.
