Work environment

The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) is the federal government agency responsible for administering sentences of a term of two years or more, as imposed by the court. CSC is responsible for managing institutions of various security levels and supervising offenders under conditional release in the community.

Intent of the process

The intent of this process is to staff one indeterminate, part-time vacancy in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and to create a pool of qualified candidates for consideration for future vacancies in the specific locations noted above. Candidates are required to meet the language profile indicated for each location to be appointed. EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION
A degree from a recognized post secondary institution with acceptable specialization in nutrition, dietetics or home economics
Successful completion of an accredited Dietetic Internship or Community Nutrition Program or a recognized equivalent
Dietitian registration by the provincial registering/licensing body in the province of practice

EXPERIENCE
Experience in providing nutrition services to a variety* of clients
Experience in menu planning and analysis
Experience in the delivery of training in relation to clinical nutrition and/or healthy eating

DEFINITIONS
*Variety of clients is defined as experience working with varied population groups such as senior citizens, pregnant women, Aboriginals, diabetics, etc.

Degree equivalency

Experience using nutritional analysis software
