Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in electrical engineering, or some other engineering specialty relevant to the duties of the position.
AND
Eligibility for certification as a professional engineer in Canada with specialization in an engineering specialty relevant to the position.
Experience of at least five (5) years in performing duties as an engineer
Significant* experience in system design engineering used in an operational and time-critical environment.
Significant* experience in defining system requirements and system interfaces
Experience in contract management
Experience in leading the planning, implementation and management of engineering projects
Experience in negotiation and writing agreements and obtaining final approval from senior management
Experience in working with stakeholders and external groups (e.g. industry, academia, clients, research centers, governments) on technical and programmatic issues or projects
* Significant experience is defined as experience normally acquired over a period of approximately 3 years in the last 5 years.
Master’s degree from an acceptable university program in a field related to the position
Experience in designing or implementing or testing or operating satellite communication systems
Experience in designing satellite ground segment including multiple interfaced systems
Experience in designing remote sensing ground segment including multiple interfaced systems
Experience in network and system security
Experience in network and system analysis and optimization
Experience in Cloud architectures
Bilingual - Imperative (CBB/CBB)
