Intent of the process

OUR IMMEDIATE NEED IS TO STAFF A BILINGUAL IMPERATIVE (CBC/CBC) POSITION ON AN INDETERMINATE BASIS.

A pool of fully qualified candidates may be established through this process to staff identical or similar positions at Natural Resources Canada at the CR-05 group and level with various tenures (determinate period or indeterminate), various security requirements (i.e. Reliability, Secret, Top Secret), various conditions of employment and for various locations.

You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives

The employer-approved alternatives to a secondary school diploma are: A satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Experience in using spreadsheet software, an electronic mail system and a word processing system.

Degree equivalency

Experience providing service in a call centre environment.

Experience communicating with clients in person or in writing.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Experience with GCDocs.

The following will be applied / assessed at a later date (essential for the job)

Bilingual - Imperative (CBC/CBC)
A linguistic profile identifies, for bilingual positions, the level of proficiency required for each of the language skills, in both official languages. There are three possible levels that may be required:

1. Level A (beginner);
2. Level B (intermediate);
3. Level C (advanced).
