The immediate staffing requirement for these positions is for a specified period, however this selection process may be used to staff similar positions with various linguistic requirements, various security requirements, various conditions of employment and/or various tenures (including indeterminate) within Health Canada in the National Capital Region.

You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. Education:
EED1. Successful completion of a certificate from a recognized dental assisting program and/or successful completion of a diploma/bachelor from a recognized Canadian dental hygiene program.
EEX1. **Significant experience working in a clinical dental setting as a dental hygienist or as a chairside dental assistant or as a dental treatment coordinator in a dental office.
EEX2. Experience processing dental requests or claims.
**Significant experience is defined as experience associated with working full time or a minimum of 21 hours per week in a dental clinical setting acquired over a period of approximately 3 years.
Assets:
AEX1. Experience providing analysis, review and the adjudication of predetermination and claims with Non-Insured Health Benefits within the dental benefit section of Health Canada.
AEX2. Experience in working with virtual call centre software such as Telax.
AEX3. Experience in working with a claims processing system such as HICPS (Health Information & Claims Processing Services)

Operational Requirements:
- Willingness and ability to work overtime on short notice and as required
- Willingness and ability to work flexible hours
- Hours of work: 7.5 hours daily, between the hours of 7:00AM and 6:00PM
- The employee must be able to work on a rotational schedule from 10am to 6pm
- The candidate must consent at the time of hire, to telephone monitoring
