Intent of the process

Random selection will be used at any time during the process to identify which applicants from the inventory will be assessed.

A pool of qualified candidates will be established and used to staff AS-02 (and/or other equivalent group and level) positions within the RCMP in the National Capital Region on an indeterminate and/or term basis, with various linguistic profiles and security requirements.

EDUCATION :
Successful completion of secondary school education or employer approved alternative*

* The employer-approved alternative for this process is satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test (General Intelligence Test 320 (GIT-320)).

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE :

Significant* experience in drafting, editing and verifying correspondence or reports;
Significant* experience researching, analyzing and summarizing information obtained from different sources;
Significant* experience in the use of Microsoft Office software such as Word, Excel, and/or PowerPoint.

* Significant is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with having performed a broad range of complex activities related to this task, which are acquired over a period of at least two (2) years. EXPERIENCE:

Significant* experience working in the office of an executive;

Significant* experience in scheduling and organizing travel arrangements and processing claims;

Significant* experience coordinating administrative services in the field of health, safety, security or emergency response;

Significant* experience in the provision of compensation services.

All applicants for positions within the Royal Canadian Mounted Police will be subject to a thorough security clearance process which includes an interview wherein questions may include (but not limited to), reference checks, previous employment, on-line activities, credit checks, alcohol and/or drug use.

PSEE - Test of Judgement UIT

Applicants must complete the Public Service Entrance Exam: Test of Judgement Unsupervised Internet Test as part of the screening for this selection process. This test assesses the judgement required for solving problems in work-related situations. You will have 75 minutes to complete the test. You must complete the test before you submit your application for this position.
