When you apply to this selection process, it is important to note that you are not applying for a specific job. You are applying to be included in an inventory that will be used to staff future vacancies. As positions become available, applicants who meet the qualifications may be contacted for further assessment.

Please ensure that you read the poster thoroughly as the instructions contain important information that will be required in the application process. Failure to read the notes and follow the instructions could result in the omission of critical information, thus providing insufficient information for the screening committee to complete the assessment of your application which could result in your elimination from the process.

Applicants must meet all essential qualifications but DO NOT need to meet all factors listed under “Asset Qualifications” to be eligible for consideration. However, depending on the requirements of the position or positions to be staffed, “Asset Qualifications” may be a deciding factor in selecting the candidate with the right profile for a position. Any of the asset qualifications, operational requirements, and organizational needs MAY BE CONSIDERED at any time during this process. Therefore, IT IS IMPORTANT that you answer each of the questions related to the mandatory and asset qualifications.

The inventory will be updated every 120 days. You will receive a notice in your applicant’s account seven (7) days before the end of your active period to determine whether or not you still wish to be considered for an additional 120 days.

Work environment

Are you a graduate from a post-secondary institution or a communications professional seeking a dynamic career in the federal public service? Would you like to work in an information technology environment? If so, Shared Services Canada could be the place for you.

The Government of Canada (GC) created Shared Services Canada (SSC) in 2011 to modernize how the government manages its information technology (IT) infrastructure.
