Intent of the process

This process may be used to establish a pool of candidates that may be used to staff similar positions at an identical or equivalent group and level with various official language proficiency (Bilingual Imperative BBB/BBB, Bilingual Imperative CBC/CBC, English Essential), various security profiles (Reliability Status, Secret), various tenures (Indeterminate, Term, Acting, Deployment, Secondment, Assignment) at Fisheries and Oceans Canada.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION
You must have graduated with a degree* from a recognized post-secondary institution OR graduated with a diploma from a recognized technical institute or college OR obtained a certification from a program related to procurement or materiel management.

*Degree refers to a baccalaureate as established by educational authorities.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE
Recent and significant experience* in providing technical advice and guidance to clients related to Procurement.
Recent and significant* experience in:
- Reviewing Statements of Work;
- Preparing Requests for Proposal; and
- Awarding contracts for goods or services.

*Recent and significant experience is defined as the depth and breadth of your engagement in the performance of these duties for a period normally associated with two years (2) of experience within the last five (5) years.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

EXPERIENCE
Experience preparing and awarding construction files.
Experience in using PSPC professional services tools such as THS, ProServices,, etc.

Indeterminate employees at the same group and level or equivalent may be considered for deployment. If no deployment is made, applicants from other groups and levels will be considered in the advertised appointment process.
