Graduation with a degree from a recognized* post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in a field related to the position or a combination of a secondary school diploma and post-secondary education, training and/or experience in a related field.

Degree equivalency

Recent* and significant** experience in identifying and analyzing emerging issues, developing strategies and providing advice and recommendations to senior management*** on high profile, sensitive, and/or critical issues impacting your organization and/or the government.

Recent* and significant** experience in conducting research and analyzing information.

Recent* and significant** experience in advising, consulting, and/or negotiating with internal and external partners or stakeholders.

Significant ** experience in writing, editing and revising a broad range of briefing material (see note 1) on program issues (see note 2) for quality, consistency, relevance and accuracy for information and decision making of senior management ***.

*Recent is defined as the performance of the duties within the last two (2) years.
**Significant is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally acquired over a period of at least two (2) years and that it was a core responsibility of the position.
***Senior management is defined as Director Level (or equivalent) and higher.

NOTE 1: Briefing material means written material intended for, but not limited to, organizational officials and includes, but is not limited to: Questions and Answers, briefing notes, backgrounders, issue papers, key messages, scenario notes, presentations and decks.
