The Director – NCR HR Client Service Center leads a dedicated team of HR professionals in responding to their client needs in the area of staffing and labor relations. As an active member of the Human Resources Client Service Delivery management team, you will contribute to the development and implementation of a more modern approach to recruiting talent by developing innovative ways to attract and assess potential candidates. You will also participate in the redesign of the HR client service model and the establishment of metrics to measure success. The position to be staffed is currently in the branch of Human Resources and Workplace Services in Gatineau for an indeterminate duration.
However, if you are found partially or fully qualified you could be considered for similar or identical positions at Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC) with various linguistic profiles (French essential, English essential,BBB/BBB, CBC/CBC, CCC/CCC) and/or requirement as well as tenures (term or indeterminate) and/or the security clearance (reliability or secret), which may vary according to the position being staffed.

EDUCATION:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in human resources management, labour or industrial relations, psychology, public or business administration, organizational development, education sciences, social sciences, sociology, or in any other field relevant to the work to be performed
EXPERIENCE:
Significant* experience providing Human Resources Management (HRM) consultative services to client managers/executives in a broad** range of HR disciplines.
Experience leading a major change initiative.
Experience supervising staff.
Experience in using innovative recruitment practices to attract and assessment tools to evaluate potential candidates.
* Significant is defined by the breadth of knowledge required to provide accurate and in-depth advice and guidance to clients on a number of HR issues.
** Broad is defined as having worked in staffing/recruitment and at least two other HR disciplines (such as: labor/employee relations, health and safety, learning, classification, organizational design, organizational development, HR planning, industrial psychology) for a minimum of 8 years in total (minimum of 2 years per discipline)
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience managing a budget.
Experience leading a team of innovative HR professionals.
Formal training in change management or consulting.
Bilingual - Imperative (CBC/CBC)
