The purpose of this competition is to establish a pool of qualified candidates for appointment to the above-noted positions. The established pool may also be used to staff similar and/or identical positions for various tenures and locations.

Education:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in economics, sociology or statistics
Note: Candidates must always have a degree. The courses for the specialization in economics, sociology or statistics do not necessarily have to have been obtained within the degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education of a minimum of 3 courses in economics, sociology or statistics and two years of directly related experience and/or training
Experience
*Recent and **significant experience in the delivery of two of the following:
1) appraisal of real property
2) strategic land use planning
3) investment analysis, financial analysis and risk assessment
4) developing real property acquisition and/or disposal strategies
5) real property portfolio planning and management
6) commercial leasing or acquisition and/or disposal of real property
7) commercial mortgage underwriting
* Recent experience is considered to be within the last 5 years.
**Significant experience is considered to be for a period of at least two years

Education
Certification(s)/Designations related to real property
For Payment in Lieu of Taxes, an AACI or comparable designation is required for commercial appraisal and valuation
Experience
Experience in preparing and presenting reports to clients or management
Recent experience in working with computerized discounted cash flow programs
Experience completing business cases, feasibility studies, options analysis and/or asset management plans
Experience in negotiating real property transactions
Experience in the acquisition and disposal of real property
Experience in budgeting and forecasting
Experience in consultation or negotiation with Indigenous groups or First Nation governments
Experience in the supervision and training of staff
Abilities
Ability to analyze and explain contracts and legislation related to real property issues
