This position involves working independently within a team environment to analyze, develop, implement and/or assess project proposals. You will also work directly with businesses either currently or wanting to be involved in the aerospace, defence and security sector in Alberta, to develop and maintain information on their capabilities and help companies participate in the supply chain for Canada’s defence procurement activities.

Completion of post-secondary education (this includes college diplomas or university degrees) with acceptable specialization in Commerce/Business, Economics, Public Administration or other specialty relevant to the position OR eligibility for a recognized professional accounting designation (eg. CA, CMA, CGA).
You will also need to have:
• Experience in conducting research and reporting.
• Experience in analyzing information to develop reports, recommendations and briefing materials.
• Experience in making presentations to stakeholders or outreach with stakeholders.

Although not essential, it would be great if you have a Master’s degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in a field relevant to the duties of the position; or if you have experience in any one or combination of the following:
• Experience in business and/or economic development activities;
• Determining compliance with contract terms and conditions;
• Working in the aerospace, defence or security sector;
• Assessing project proposals, funding for applications or business plans;
• Implementing initiatives with multiple partners or stakeholders; and
• Experience in the use of database software.
