Please note that there are two (2) streams in this process:
STREAM 1: Operations Support Assistant (Civil Aviation Services) and Information Management Assistant (Corporate Services).
STREAM 2: Operations Support/Administrative Assistant (Civil Aviation).

You must clearly identify which stream(s) you are applying for in your application.
You will be required to demonstrate the essential qualifications (i.e. Education and Experience) for the initial screening by answering the online screening questions and on your résumé. Operations Support Assistant in Civil Aviation Services:
1. Prepares, composes, coordinates and/or reviews correspondence, documents and other materials submitted for approval / signature, verifying the accuracy of content (as required) and adherence to departmental procedures.
2. Gathers and enters data into databases, verifies accuracy and generates reports and documents.
3. Responds to inquiries from internal and external clients, and/or redirects inquiries to the appropriate.
4. Files and keeps records of documentation in accordance with central agency and departmental directives and guidelines.
Operations Support Assistant in the Civil Aviation Branch:
1. Prepares, composes, coordinates and/or reviews correspondence, documents and other materials submitted for approval / signature, verifying the accuracy of content (as required) and adherence to departmental procedures
2. Gathers and enters data into databases, verifies accuracy and generates reports and documents.
3. Responds to inquiries from internal and external clients, and/or redirects inquiries to the appropriate.
4. Books airfare/ accommodations for Manages Manager/ Technical Team Lead.
5. Arranges meetings and takes minutes and prepares decision records.
6. Manages Manager/ Technical Team Lead’s meetings, calendar and emails.
Information Management Assistant:
1. Operate a manual file tracking system to trace, recall or retrieve files.
2. Handle and process classified and confidential documentation and folders.
3. Provide recommendations on process improvement.
There is an immediate need to fill a minimum of four (4) positions of various language requirements in Toronto, Ontario. The results of this process may be used to staff same or similar positions with various tenures, various security clearance levels, and/or various linguistic profiles within Transport Canada.

EDUCATION:
Stream 1 and Stream 2:
Successful completion of a secondary school diploma.
EXPERIENCE:
Stream 1 and Stream 2:
Experience in providing general administrative support services.
Experience in providing client service.
Experience in the use of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook.
Stream 2:
Experience in the use of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
