The Audit Manager provides risk-based, independent and objective assurance, advice and insight to OSFI by leading or participating in audit engagements designed to ensure effective and efficient processes are applied to all business activities, in accordance with IA’s policy, methodology and professional standards.
This selection process may be used to establish a pool of qualified candidates, which could be used to staff similar or identical positions with various linguistic profiles and requirements, security profiles and various tenures.

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION
● A university degree with specialization in accounting, business, commerce, economics, or other relevant field OR an acceptable combination of education, experience, and/or training.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
● Recent and significant experience in conducting operational, financial, compliance and/or regulatory audits/reviews of governance, risk management and control practices, within the financial services industry*.
● Recent and significant experience in the development of audit/review engagement plans.
*Financial services industry experience is defined as experience working in a financial institution, including banks, insurance companies, pension funds, wealth management firms, and accounting firms (dealing with audits), as well as government departments that directly deal with the supervision and regulation of these institutions

ASSET EDUCATION
● A post-graduate degree.
● A Canadian Chartered Accountant or certification recognized by the CICA and/ or IIA Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation.
● Achievement of, or working towards, a relevant professional audit certification/designation or equivalent.
ASSET EXPERIENCE
● Experience in performing a variety of operational audits in financial institutions.
ASSET KNOWLEDGE
● General knowledge of financial institutions, private pension plans and financial service industries.
● Knowledge of OSFI’s mandate and related OSFI supervisory and regulatory services.
