As IT Security Analyst in the IT Security team at the Public Service Commission, you will play a key role in ensuring the security of IT systems and the PSC employees against cyber threats. Your activities will include but are not limited to:
Evaluate and remediate security events
Investigate security incidents
Analyse vulnerabilities and implement corrective actions
Perform application security testing
Respond and assist clients on IT Security questions
Develop and maintain documentation on security standards and guidelines
Perform forensics analysis
Develop user awareness material
We are currently looking for an individual to join the IT Security team as a security analyst to perform incident management, vulnerability management and client support for IT Security related questions. We are looking for an individual who is dynamic, collaborative, resourceful and forward-thinking.
22 Eddy Street, Gatineau, Quebec (walking distance to the Canadian War Museum). The building is located in downtown Gatineau. A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions within the Information Technology Services Branch with various tenures and language profiles.
IMPORTANT: Other Federal organizations will have access to this pool only once the PSC will have made his choice of candidates.

Essential Qualifications
EDUCATION
Graduation with a degree (a baccalaureate or higher level) from a recognized post-secondary educational program with a specialization in computer science or similar technical IM/IT related domains.
EXPERIENCE
E1. Significant experience (at least three (3) years) in one of the following:
Incident Management
Vulnerability Management
Investigations
Security Testing
E2. Significant experience (at least three (3) years) in supporting clients on IT related subjects
KNOWLEDGE
K1. Knowledge of Government of Canada IT security policies, standards and guidance publications.
K2. Knowledge of the Government of Canada Cyber Security Event Management Plan.
K3. Knowledge of the IT Security controls, technology and best practices.
