EDUCATION:

-A secondary school diploma and
-Completion of a three years of post-secondary program in electronics technology, electrical power, or control systems or the employer-approved alternative

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCES:

-Practical experience of electronics (both audio and video) to conceive, design, and develop prototype systems
-Practical experience repairing and modifying equipment that are used to support research and development in laboratory and experimental chambers or in field trail environments.
-Experience in conducting hands on technical investigations, trouble shooting and repairing the electronic equipment, such as gauges, measuring meters, circuits, and watches etc.
-Experience in electronic and electro mechanical engineering as it relates to hypobaric and climatic chambers.
-Experience providing expertise for the assessment of pressure vessel related electronics (audio and video) maintenance projects.

-Technical knowledge of electronic (audio and video) systems or subsystems (e.g. communications, command and control surveillance systems).
-Technical knowledge of munitions related electronic use in research experiments.

-Knowledge of conceptualizing of bench level test procedures.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS

Education


-Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in electronic or electrical engineering technology, or some other engineering/technologist field of study specialty relevant to the duties of the position.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCES:

-Experience working with the Department of National Defence or Canadian Armed Forces.
-Experience of troubleshooting and testing methods for power distribution and control equipment.
-Experience with test equipment and laboratory instrumentation such as digital oscilloscopes, harmonic analyzers, signal generators and similar.
-Experience with medium voltage power distribution equipment and related control systems.

KNOWLEDGE:

- Knowledge of electrical machines, switchgear, circuit breakers, converters, uninterruptible power supplies, engine controls and protective relays.
