Duties

Provision of services for Local Area Network and Personal Computer in support of Courts Administration Service employees.

Intent of the process

A pool of prequalified or fully qualified candidates may be created to staff similar or identical positions with various tenure, various bilingual linguistic profiles and security requirements within the Courts Administration Service.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Successful completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed or acceptable combination* of education, training and/or experience.

Notes:
Indeterminate period incumbents of positions in the CS group on May 10, 1999, who do not possess the education prescribed above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standards based on their education, training and/or experience. They must be accepted as having met the minimum education standard whenever this standard is called for when staffing positions in the CS group.

It is the recognized educational institution (e.g. community college, CÉGEP or university) that determines if the courses taken by a candidate correspond to two years of a post-secondary program at the institution.

At the manager's discretion, an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience* may serve as an alternative to the minimum post-secondary education stated above. Whenever the minimum education is met using this alternative, it is met for the specific position only and must be re-assessed for other positions for which this alternative has been specified by the manager.

*An “acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience” is defined as a degree or college diploma in another field and a minimum of 3 years of recent and relevant IM/IT work experience.

Degree equivalency

Experience installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting of personal computers, laptops, peripherals and software in a Windows-based network environment.

Experience in planning, documenting, prioritizing and coordinating client/business IT requirements.

Experience using IT Services Management tools (ticketing systems, remote assistance tools).

Experience configuring and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows 7 and Office 2010.

Experience providing accounts administration in a Windows Active Directory environment.

Experience providing technical advice and guidance to users with varying degrees of computer.
