Work environment

Policy Horizons Canada is seeking an Executive Director for a 3 year interchange assignment. A corporate strategic foresight agency within the federal Government of Canada, the organization’s paramount responsibility is providing timely and integrated perspectives and advice on emerging policy issues for the deputy minister and policy communities. The position reports to an Assistant Deputy Minister within the Government of Canada and will serve as a trusted counselor, advisor and dissident to a committee of Deputy and Assistant Deputy Ministers. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience leading and growing innovative, collaborative organisations, along with strong analytical skills and experience in examining potential mid and long range policy challenges of current and emerging issues. The Executive Director must be able to champion highly complex, integrated processes, build key relationships, and influence with and without direct authority.
