The Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat (TBS) is a central agency located in the National Capital Region. A pool of qualified persons resulting from this process may be created and may be used to fill similar positions with linguistic profiles (bilingual imperative BBB/BBB, bilingual imperative CBC/CBC, bilingual non imperative BBB/BBB, bilingual non imperative CBC/CBC) as well as tenures (indeterminate, deployment, acting, assignment, secondment, specified period) which may vary according to the position being staffed.

Information on language requirements
Experience:
FOR STREAM 1 only (AS-06):
-Recent* and Significant** experience in performing all phases of audit projects that respect professional standards.;
-Experience in preparing written material, including the development of audit reports, findings, and recommendations and presenting information to senior management;
-Experience in supervising work of team members.
FOR STREAM 2 only (AS-07):
-Recent* and Significant** experience in managing all phases of multiple audit projects that respect professional standards;
-Experience providing strategic advice, briefings and written reports to senior management;
-Experience in supervising professional audit teams;
-Experience in managing relations with senior management of audited organizations.
*Recent experience normally means the five (5) years preceding the closing date of the process.
**Significant experience for both streams means the breadth and depth of experience normally associated with having performed a broad range of specific and related work over a period of approximately 3 years.
Knowledge FOR BOTH STREAMS (AS-06/AS-07):
-Knowledge of the Treasury Board Policy on Internal Audit and Directive on Internal Audit;
-Knowledge of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) International Professional Practices Framework.
Competencies FOR BOTH STREAMS (AS-06/AS-07) :

Education FOR BOTH STREAMS (AS-06/AS-07):
-Possession of a recognized professional accounting designation (i.e. CPA, CA, CGA, or CMA);
-Possession of a professional certification from a recognized internal auditing association (i.e. CIA, CGAP or CISA).
Experience FOR STREAM 1 only (AS-06):
-Experience in performing audits of grants and contributions (Transfer Payments);
-Experience in performing audits of information technology;
-Experience in performing internal audits within or for the federal government of Canada.
Experience FOR STREAM 2 only (AS-07):
-Experience in managing audits of grants and contributions (Transfer Payments);
-Experience in managing audits of information technology;
-Experience in developing risk-based internal audit plans;
-Experience in managing internal audits within or for the federal government;
-Experience in establishing and managing a quality assurance and improvement program within an internal audit organization.
Organizational Needs:
-Treasury Board Secretariat employees affected by workforce adjustment may be appointed before persons employed by other government organizations;

Operational Requirements FOR BOTH STREAMS (AS-06/AS-07) :
-Willingness to work overtime as required;
-Willingness and ability to travel on occasion.
