The immediate need is to staff one indeterminate position. A pool of qualified candidates may be established from this process and may be used to staff similar positions at Public Prosecution Service of Canada in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, with varying tenures (such as indeterminate, specified period, acting, assignment/secondment) according to the position to be staffed.

Education:
Successful completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.
NOTES: Indeterminate period incumbents of positions in the CS group on May 10, 1999, who do not possess the education prescribed above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standards based on their education, training and/or experience. They must be accepted as having met the minimum education standard whenever this standard is called for when staffing positions in the CS group.
Experience:
• Significant* and recent** experience installing, configuring, maintaining and supporting personal computer hardware, peripherals and software.
• Significant* and recent** experience providing coaching on the use of hardware and software to clients both in-person and by phone.
• Significant* and recent** experience in troubleshooting and supporting Windows 7, the Microsoft Office 2013 suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel), and Internet Explorer 10 or later version.
* Significant is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally acquired over a period of two (2) years.
** Recent refers to experience obtained within the last four (4) years.
Knowledge:
• Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office 2013 suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel).
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7 or Windows 8.1.
• Knowledge of Network and Server infrastructure.
Abilities:
• Ability to communicate effectively orally.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing.
• Ability to identify issues, analyze, and make recommendations.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve computer hardware and software problems.
• Ability to establish priorities and resolve problems with minimal supervision.

Asset Qualifications:
• Experience supporting Adobe Acrobat Professional X or DC.
• Experience supporting and troubleshooting Blackberry handheld devices.

• Experience administering Microsoft SharePoint 2010 or later.
• Experience in application development.
• A+ or Microsoft Certification.
