Education:
- Successful completion of secondary school (High School Diploma) or GED.

- Experience providing administrative or clerical support services in an office environment.
- Experience using spreadsheet, word processing and email software (ex: MS Excel, Word, Outlook).

Operational Requirements:
Operational requirements may be required for some positions. These requirements will be communicated to the candidates considered for that specific appointment. They may include the willingness to work overtime and/or on weekends, willingness to travel or the possession of a driver’s license.

Written test(s), interviews and/or reference checks may be conducted.
The written test(s) will be scheduled at the following testing locations. Candidates will be expected to travel up to four hours to the nearest Department of National Defence (DND) location for assessments relating to this process. Our DND locations are in Esquimalt (Victoria), BC and Comox, BC. Travel costs for individuals who are not Federal Public Servants will not be covered. Federal Public Servants will be covered by the National Joint Council's Travel Directive with prior authorization.
You will be required to show how you demonstrate the essential qualifications (i.e. Education and Experience) for the initial screening through your resume, and in answering online screening questions. It is NOT sufficient to only state that the qualifications are met or to provide a listing of current or past responsibilities. Rather you must clearly demonstrate HOW, WHEN, and WHERE the qualification was met through substantiation by examples. Information on your described skills, experience, etc. provided in your screening questions should be supported by your resume. Failure to provide the above information in the format required may result in your application being rejected from the process. Candidates will not be solicited for incomplete or possible missing information.
Random selection and/or top-down scoring may be used to manage the volume of applicants in this selection process.
