Education:
Successful completion of a postsecondary school diploma.
Experience:
E1 Experience handling laboratory animals, using current dosing modalities, various animal surgical techniques and veterinary procedures.
E2 Experience conducting histology, histochemistry, immunohistochemistry or molecular biology assays
E3 Experience using, handling, disposing of hazardous / toxic chemicals in accordance with the appropriate laboratory safety procedures.

K1 Knowledge of basic concepts in toxicology, histology, immunohistochemistry or molecular biology.
K2 Knowledge of the basic principles associated with the use of computers, a microscope and laboratory instruments in biological laboratories.

K4 Knowledge of the safe handling and use of hazardous /toxic chemicals.

AE1. Experience in a research or clinical laboratory
AE2. Experience developing and validating histological and immunohistochemical staining procedures.
AE3. Experience in microscopy, quantitative image analysis and morphometry.
AE4. Experience in Laser Capture Microdissection techniques
• Willingness and ability to work with toxic and carcinogenic chemicals
• Willingness and ability to perform microscopy and work under sterile conditions for extended periods of time
• Willingness and ability to work with a variety of human/ animal tissues and laboratory animals
• Willingness and ability to work outside normal working hours
1) A valid reliability security clearance
2) A valid Pre-Placement (Category 3) health evaluation in accordance with the Occupational

3) Undertake a periodic health evaluation in accordance with Appendix A of the Occupational
