Work environment

Intent of the process

The immediate need is to fill two positions on an indeterminate basis.

A pool of candidates may be created and may be used to fill similar or lower level positions with various tenure, security clearance or linguistic requirement.

You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

A secondary school diploma or employer approved alternatives

Degree equivalency

Experience providing administrative support services, such as calendar management for managers, meeting coordination, data compilation and reporting, preparation of correspondence/reports, etc.

Experience providing advice or recommendations to management

Experience in one or more of the following streams:
Stream 1 – Human Resources
Stream 2 – Finance (such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Credit Card Reconciliation, etc)
Stream 3 – Administration (such as organizational administration, travel, procurement/contracting, material management, executive administration, events/visits, etc.)

The following will be applied / assessed at a later date (essential for the job)

Successful completion of post-secondary education in a field related to the position being staffed.

Degree equivalency

Experience in the use of relevant DND Departmental systems, such as Defence Resource Management Information System (DRMIS), Human Resources Management System (HRMS), PeopleSoft, ClaimsX, etc.

Ability to proofread, revise and update information.

Ability to prepare and deliver presentations using Microsoft Office PowerPoint.
