Work environment

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources Strategy, responsible for the following: liaising with the Directors of HR on a regular basis in respect to budget forecasting; preparing the Director General's forecasted budget; preparing reports for the Director General, responsible for advising Human Resources staff on procedures and policies in respect to a wide range of financial matters.

Intent of the process

A pool of qualified candidates will be established from this process which may be used to staff similar AS-03 or equivalent positions within Veterans Affairs Canada in various locations with various security requirements (Reliability, Secret), and various linguistic requirements i.e. English essential, Bilingual Imperative BBB/BBB, CBC/CBC, or CCC/CCC which may vary according to the position being staffed.

Education:
A secondary school diploma or *acceptable combination of education and experience.

An acceptable combination is defined as completion of Grade 10 combined with a minimum of two years of relevant work experience.

Degree equivalency

Experience:
Experience in providing financial services including working with budgets as well as one or both of the following services: administrative or human resources.
Experience in researching, coordinating and compiling information from various sources.
Experience in consulting with clients to obtain information.
