When you apply to this selection process, you are not applying for a specific job, but to a process to fill various positions throughout Shared Services Canada (SSC).
An internal selection process is currently advertised simultaneously. Persons employed in the federal public service should apply to the internal process: 17-GSS-QC-IA--211339. The initial evaluation of candidates will be the same for the internal and external processes.

You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. Some essential and other qualifications will be assessed through your application. It is your responsibility to provide appropriate examples that illustrate how you meet each qualification. Failing to do so could result in your application being rejected.
EDUCATION:
Successful completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.

Note: The language requirements will vary according to the position to be staffed:
Bilingual Imperative (BBB/BBB, CBC/CBC, CCC/CCC), English Essential, French Essential, English or French Essential, Bilingual non-imperative.
*Non-imperative appointments may be considered once the bilingual pool of candidates has been exhausted.

Depending on the job, operational requirements could apply such as:
- Willingness and ability to work overtime
- Willingness and ability to travel
- Willingness and ability to work shift-work
- Willingness and ability to work 24/7 on-call status
- Willingness and ability to work virtually
Reliability Status security clearance - as a minimum or other levels of security up to Top Secret.
Random selection may be used when selecting candidates for further assessment.
A self-assessment questionnaire will be used to evaluate your behavioural and technical competencies.
