This process may be used to establish a pool of candidates that may be used to staff similar positions at an identical or equivalent group and level with various official language proficiencies, various security profiles, various tenures (Indeterminate, Term, Acting, Deployment, Secondment, Assignment) at Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada.

You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

ED1. Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in economics, sociology or statistics and a specialization in epidemiology, public health or other acceptable health-related field.

Candidates must always have a degree. The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and may have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

E1. Significant* experience in the analysis of health data.

E2. Significant* experience working with large** data sets

E3. Experience in designing or evaluating epidemiological studies.

E4. Experience in preparing presentation materials, briefing notes or other communication products.
* Significant is defined as two or more years experience.
** Large will be assessed in function of size and complexity from the aspect of number of records, number of databases merged, number of variables and their types.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

AED1: Graduate degree from a recognized university with acceptable specialization in epidemiology, public health, bio-statistics, health administration, or other acceptable health-related field.

Degree equivalency

AE1. Experience using SAS, and/or SPSS software.
