ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR OCCUPATION CERTIFICATE:

Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in Accounting, Commerce, Business Administration, Economics, OR Finance OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:

• Recent* and significant** experience in interpreting OR applying policies, regulations, OR standards;

• Recent* and significant** experience in preparing briefing material OR reports;

• Recent* and significant** experience in providing strategic advice AND recommendations to senior management***;

• Experience in leading OR working in a team environment;

• Experience in interpreting AND analyzing financial statements of companies in order to identify key trends, assess financial OR economic performance.

* Recent experience defined as within the last four (4) years.

** Significant experience defined as experience associated with having performed a broad range of related activities of varied complexity which could normally be acquired over a period of approximately two (2) years.

*** Senior management is defined as Director, Executive Director, Director General, Assistant Deputy Minister, Vice-President, President, Chief Executive Officer, Senior General Counsel or an equivalent to any of the above.

ASSET MERIT CRITERIA

• Master's degree in commerce, business administration, economics, accounting or finance and/or a Professional Certification in accounting, finance or economics in a Canadian province or territory;

• Experience in planning, conducting AND reviewing costing analysis based on costing principles and concepts;

• Experience in researching AND analyzing economic assumptions;

• Experience in analyzing various data using mathematical models and statistical techniques.
