The Parole Board of Canada (PBC) contributes to public safety with its core responsibility for the controlled, timed and gradual release of offenders back into society. The skills and talents of our staff are central to this work.

The intent of this process is to establish a pool of qualified candidates for future vacancies. The pool will be used to staff positions on a permanent and/or temporary basis within the Parole Board of Canada in the National Capital Region. The linguistic profile, security and tenure may vary depending on the position being staffed.

EDUCATION:
• Secondary school diploma or employer approved alternatives (see Note).
Note: The employer-approved alternatives to a secondary school diploma are:
- A satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma; or
- An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCES:
• Experience in providing administrative support in an office environment such as, but not limited to: filing, organizing meetings, taking minutes, making travel arrangements and working with travel claims and budgets;
• Experience in drafting correspondence, such as but not limited to: emails, letters, memorandums;
• Experience using word processing software, spreadsheets and electronic mail such as, but not limited to: WORD, EXCEL and Outlook.

ASSET EXPERIENCES:
• Experience in using the HRG Shared Travel Services to book travel and/or process claims;
• Experience in financial management, including tracking and processing expenditures and managing an acquisition card within a federal government setting.
