Duties

Duties may include one or more of the following activities, depending on the position to be staffed.
• Provision of a range of Administrative, Financial and Human Resources support services to the CAS.
• Provision of a range of support services to the CAS, the four Courts, litigants and the general public.
• Warehousing services for the judges and staff of the principal office and 10 local offices of the CAS across Canada in support of departmental projects and programs.

A pool of pre-qualified or fully qualified candidates may be created to staff similar or identical positions with various tenure, various bilingual linguistic profiles and security requirements within the Courts Administration Service.

Successfully obtained a secondary school diploma.

Degree equivalency

Recent* and Significant** experience using Microsoft Office Suite in a work environment (such as MS Word, Outlook, Excel, Outlook, etc.).

Recent* and Significant** experience providing clerical OR administrative support services in an office environment.

Recent* and Significant** experience in providing service to internal and/or external clients.

*Recent experience means having acquired this experience within the past 2 years.
**Significant experience means the breadth and depth and is defined as a combination of time spent doing the activity, as well as type (range, scope, and complexity) of work handled related to the experience criteria.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Successful completion of post-secondary education or certification from a recognized institution in fields relevant to the position.

Degree equivalency

Experience working in a judicial, quasi-judicial or legal environment.

Experience in coordinating logistics for multiple, simultaneous events (allocation rooms, equipment and materials) according to pre-established guidelines.

Experience performing receptionist functions.

Experience performing mailroom functions.

Experience providing records management services.

Experience managing records in an electronic document management system.

Experience managing an inventory.

Recent* experience performing reception and expedition duties (such as using a propane or battery-powered forklift) in a warehouse environment.

*Recent experience means having acquired this experience within the past 2 years

Valid forklift operator card.
