ADM (S&T) will be moving to the new Carling Campus in the west end of Ottawa. This new state-of-the art facility will allow employees to work better together in a natural and modern setting.
The immediate intent of this process is to staff 3 vacant AS-03 positions and then create a pool of qualified candidates to staff future vacancies within the Department of National Defence in the National Capital Region.

EDUCATION
A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives.
EXPERIENCE
1. Significant* experience in coordinating and providing administrative support services to senior executives particularly in managing an email inbox, organizing meetings, drafting meeting agendas and creating records of decision
2. Experience in event planning
3. Experience making domestic travel arrangements for senior executives and preparing travel claims.
4. Experience in managing an office budget, financial reporting and forecasting.
5. Experience in researching, coordinating and preparing correspondence.
*Significant is defined as the depth and breadth of experience associated with the performance of the duties which would normally be acquired over a period of at least two (2) years.
KNOWLEDGE
1. Knowledge of the structure, mandate and priorities of ADM(S&T) / Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC)
2. Knowledge of agenda/time management practices to manage an executive’s calendar;
3. Knowledge of procedures required to make efficient and cost-effective travel arrangements.

EDUCATION
Completion of a post-secondary diploma from a recognized institution in a related field.
EXPERIENCE
1. Experience using tracking systems for files, correspondence and other documents.
2. Experience working with Government of Canada directives relating to administrative, travel and financial practices
3. Experience making international travel arrangements for senior executives and preparing travel claims.
