Intent of the process

This process will be used to staff one indeterminate, full-time CR-03 position. A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions on an indeterminate, term, deployment, assignment, secondment, acting or casual basis.

You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. EDUCATION:

• Secondary school diploma.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:

• Experience in providing administrative support services.
• Experience in providing client services.
• Experience in using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and Outlook).
• Depending on the position being staffed, experience providing clerical or administrative support in one or more of the following areas will be required:
- Medical Environment
- Human Resources
- Procurement
- Finance
- Records Management

ABILITY:

• Ability to perform essential clerical tasks quickly and accurately (this criteria may be assessed using the Public Service Commission (PSC) Office Skills Test 200 (OST-200)).
• Ability to use reasoning skills to solve problems (this criteria may be assessed using the Public Service Commission (PSC) General Competency Test: Level 1 (GCT1-207)).
• Ability to communicate orally.

EXPERIENCE:

• Experience in providing financial services associated with accounts receivable or accounts payable and general bookkeeping.
• Experience in using financial software packages.
• Experience in using electronic tracking systems.
• Experience in mail or courier services.
• Experience in the use of presentation software.
• Experience in using Human Resources database software.
• Experience in working with medical terminology.
• Experience in using HRMS 7.5 and HRMS 8.9 (Peoplesoft).
• Experience in using SCPS (Security Clearance Processing System).
• Experience in using RPSR (Revised Pay System for the Reserves).

Organizational Needs:
