This position reports to the Spatial Information Management (SIM) Coordinator within Real Property Geomatics. Duties include project management and the provision of professional advice, products and services in geomatics sector disciplines including cadastral, geodetic, hydrographic, photogrammetric and geospatial data management to support and represent the interests of internal and external clients in the effective and efficient management of their real property programs.

The intent of this appointment process is to fill one immediate vacancy and to establish a fully assessed pool of qualified candidates that may be used to staff identical or similar positions of various tenures and various locations in PSPC.

Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in land survey theory and practice or another Geomatics related field.
Eligible for membership as a Professional Ontario Land Surveyor in the Branch of Geographic Information Management.
Experience in the delivery of Geomatics and geospatial information.
Experience in TWO of the following Geomatics disciplines:
-Geographic Information Management
-Geodetic Surveys
-Photogrammetric Surveys
-Cadastral Surveys
-Engineering Surveys and Hydrographic Surveys
Experience in the provision of expert technical advice in land surveying to client organizations.
Experience using commercial or open-source Geographic Information Systems (GIS)/Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) software in a real property application.

Current member of a Geomatics organization, such as: Association of Ontario Land Surveyors (AOLS), Canadian Institute of Geomatics (CIG), The Urban and Regional Information Systems Association (URISA), Geospatial Information & Technology Association(GITA) or similar organization.
Experience in providing services related to Real Property such as: space measurement, GIS, CAD drawing management.
Experience in participating on Geomatics committees.
Willing and able to travel on occasion.
