The Senior Outbreak Epidemiologist will work as part of the outbreak management team detecting and investigating enteric disease outbreaks.
Multiple Anticipated - A pool of qualified candidates MAY be established from this process which MAY be used to staff similar positions with various tenures, various linguistic profiles, various locations and various security requirements within Public Health Agency of Canada.

Education:
Master's degree or a PhD from a recognized post-secondary institution with an acceptable specialisation in epidemiology, public health or health sciences.
Note: Candidates must always have a degree. The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and may have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Experience:
1. Significant* experience conducting epidemiological outbreak investigations.
*Significant is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with having performed a broad range of complex activities related to this task, which are acquired over a period of at least two (2) consecutive years.
2. Experience working in a team environment.
3. Experience developing and/or maintaining collaborative working relationships with multiple stakeholders across jurisdictions and levels of government.
4. Experience using statistical software such as SAS or STATA.
