Intent of the process

The immediate need is to staff identical or similar positions within Status of Women Canada across Canada.

A pool of partially qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff identical or similar positions with various language and security requirements, for permanent or temporary vacancies.

Conditions of Employment:

Reliability Status security clearance - *Some positions may require a Secret security clearance.

2- Depending on the number of candidates, volume management strategies such as, but not limited to, invoking one or more of the asset qualifications for right fit decisions, top-down selection process, cut-off scores, random selection and/or assessment may be used for the purpose of managing applications/candidates. Preference may be given to candidates based on the depth and breadth of their experience.

3- Where an e-mail address is provided, the Selection Board may choose to communicate with candidates by e-mail to provide or request information and to invite candidates to attend any portion of the assessment. Please include a valid e-mail address that you check frequently, if you have one. Failure to respond to communications may be construed as a withdrawal from this process.

4- An interview may be administered.

5- A written examination may be administered.

6- Reference checks will be sought.

7- Candidates must provide their proof of education credentials, in the form of a diploma or official transcripts (original documents only) at a later time in the process. Candidates with foreign credentials will be required to provide proof of Canadian equivalency. 8- Proof of Canadian citizenship will be requested later in the process.

9- Your application and your answers to the screening questions will be used to assess your ability to communicate effectively in writing.

16-NOTE: Virtual work arrangements may be available and will be determined on a case by case basis dependent on operational feasibility at the time of hiring. This does imply telework. The employee could also be expected to perform all functions of the positions remotely from a Status of Women Canada office but report to a manager who is working in another location.

17-Successful candidate(s) must meet and maintain the applicable Conditions of Employment throughout their employment.
