This selection process will be used to indeterminately or determinately staff the above mentioned position. A pool of qualified or partially qualified candidates may be established from this process and may be used to staff similar positions where tenure, language requirements and security requirements may vary according to the position to be staffed.

EDUCATION:
A college diploma in videography or relevant experience in video production or manager-approved alternative.
EXPERIENCES:
*Extensive experience using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere Pro.
Experience using Adobe After-Effects, Adobe Illustrator, DVD and CD-ROM authoring programs, Microsoft Office, Internet software, and editing and encoding video files.
Experience using professional digital SLR still camera systems, professional digital video cameras, professional audio recording equipment, and studio and location lighting equipment.
Experience in providing advice to clients on technical problems related to videographic/photographic conception and production.
*Extensive experience refers to a depth and breadth of experience that would normally be acquired over a period of three (3) or more years.
ASSET EXPERIENCES:
Experience in the use of Lightroom and Avid software.
Experience using an imagery database.
Experience in writing captions and keywords for imagery metadata.
Experience in using specialized computer hardware and software for the purposes of 3D animation.
Experience in producing photo or video imagery products of scientific research projects.
Experience in narrative video production.
Experience in televisual media.

ASSET KNOWLEDGES:
Knowledge of the basic principles of high speed photography and videography.
Knowledge of and/or experience in video script writing.
Knowledge of video codec.
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Willingness to work overtime if required.
Willingness to travel – sometimes up to several weeks at a time, and in remote areas.
Willing to work on a ship in possibly rough seas, or in aircraft.
Able to occasionally carry heavy gear for extended periods of time.
CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT:
Reliability Status. Candidates must be able to obtain at a later date a Secret Clearance (level II) in order to be appointed indeterminately to the above-mentioned position.
In assessing candidates, assessment boards may use a variety of tools and methods including, but not limited to, reviews of past performance and accomplishments, written tests, interviews, PSC tests and reference checks. In addition, all information obtained throughout the selection process, from the time of application to close of process, may be used to evaluate the candidates.
Qualified candidates will be required to submit a portfolio of their photography and video productions.
You must provide proof of your education credentials.
A random and/or top down selection of candidates may be used in the determination of those to be given further consideration in the assessment process.
