EXPERIENCE:
Experience providing administrative support services in an office environment*;
Experience using word processing and spreadsheet software programs.
*Administrative support services is defined as, but not limited to: managing agendas, scheduling and organizing meetings/teleconferences, preparing and collating meeting file folders and background materials, procuring office equipment and supplies, maintaining a filing system, and other related duties.
Bilingual - Imperative

-Bilingual: you will need to be able to work in English AND in French (reading, writing and oral proficiency). The level of bilingual proficiency varies depending on the position, however, BBB/BBB is the minimum required.

EDUCATION:
-Secondary school diploma OR
-A satisfactory score on the PSC's General Intelligence Test (GIT-320). If you do not have a secondary school diploma, you will be invited to this test.

DEPENDING ON THE POSITION, IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAD ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING:
-Graduation with a degree from a recognized university;
-Successful completion of vocational program, certificate, diploma or degree from a recognized institution in office administration, business administration, or in any other field relevant to the work to be performed;
- Experience in performing tasks related to financial information or financial documents (e.g. budget tracking and forecasting, acquisition card reconciliation or petty cash);
- Experience coordinating administrative activities in the office of a senior manager (director-level and above);
- Experience scheduling and organizing travel arrangements, or processing claims;
- Experience providing contracting or procurement support services;
- Experience working in a fast-paced or high volume environment (e.g. call center, help line, marketing, sales, or surveys);
- Experience working in a human resources environment.
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Operational requirements specific to the position being staffed may be applicable.
Various security and/or medical requirements depending on the position.The hiring organization is responsible for the security and, if necessary, medical clearance process.
Other conditions may apply depending on the position being staffed, such as but not limited to: requirement to work overtime on short notice, requirement to travel within Canada, requirement to work shifts, etc.
Applicants must complete the Public Service Entrance Exam: Test of Reasoning Unsupervised Internet Test (UIT) as part of the screening for this selection process. This test assesses reasoning and problem solving ability. You will have 90 minutes to complete the test. You must complete the test before you submit your application for this position.
