Intent of the process

A fully or partially assessed pool may be created and may be used to staff similar positions at an identical or equivalent group and level with various linguistic requirements, tenures and security clearances within the Administrative Tribunals Support Service of Canada (ATSSC).

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION

Graduation with a degree from an accredited university in art history, history, museum studies, library science, archival science or related fields.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE

Significant experience* in analyzing documents and synthesizing information.

*Significant" refers to the depth and breadth of experience associated with the performance of a broad range of related activities which were primarily the candidate's responsibility. It will be assessed on the basis of the scope, complexity and the diversity of the work performed as well as the autonomy required of the candidate to perform the activities.

This level of experience is normally achieved through the performance of relevant duties on a regular and continuous basis for a period of 2 years.

Recent experience** in leading special initiatives or managing projects.

**Recent experience will be interpreted as work experience within the last five (5) years.

Experience liaising with other organizations or stakeholders.

Experience in the use of MS Office applications (Word, Powerpoint, Excel).

Asset Qualifications

Post-graduate degree (master’s degree or higher) from an accredited university in art history, history, museum studies, library science, archival science or related fields.

Degree equivalency

Experience in the use of an automated data management or data storage system in a museum, art gallery, archives or library environment.

Experience in preparing briefing documents or reports for senior management***.

***”Senior management” will be interpreted as EX group or Governor in Council appointees or equivalent.


Experience working in the art market.

Experience in a program or organization involved with the collection, preservation, and presentation of heritage objects.

Experience in reporting statistics and results on deliverables.

Experience in the development or implementation of operational procedures, guidelines or communication tools for the administration of a program (internal/external).
