A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions with various linguistic profiles (English Essential and Bilingual Imperative (CCC/CCC) on a term, indeterminate, deployment, assignment/secondment basis.

Successful completion of two years of a post-secondary program with acceptable specialization in paralegal studies or in a law-related field.
Recent* experience in conducting legal research using a variety of sources.
Recent* experience in drafting legal documents such as demand letters, simple motions, property transfer documents and bills of costs.
*Note: Recent experience is defined as 2 years paralegal experience within the last 5 years

a pool of qualified candidates.
Information on language requirements
Ability to conduct legal research using technological tools as it applies to the practice of law (e.g. Justipedia, CANLII, Quicklaw, Westlaw, Practical Law, Lexum, TaxNet.Pro, etc.).
Ability to analyze legal matters.

Asset Qualifications:
Experience in litigation support such as documentary evidence gathering, management and disclosure.
Experience in drafting legal documents for review by counsel (i.e. pleadings, legal opinion, legal risk assessment, affidavit, etc.).
Experience in working with litigation support software such as Ringtail or Summation.
Experience in complex legal projects which means work on legal files involving a combination of two or more of the following factors: multiple areas of law, multiple legal issues, complex or unclear factual situations, legal issues that are novel or unsettled, multiple parties and/or stakeholders, high volume of facts and/or documentary evidence, and requirements for large number of reports and monitoring.
Experience in debt collection.
Experience in property law.
Experience in tax law.
Experience in personal injury law.
