Intent of the process

The immediate need is to staff one position on a term basis, with a linguistic profile of Bilingual Imperative (CCC/CCC) and an RCMP Top Secret security clearance.

A pool of qualified candidates may be established to staff similar temporary and/or permanent positions.

You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Graduation with a master's degree from a recognized university with specialization in clinical adult psychology, forensic psychology or in another psychological speciality relevant to the position.

Degree equivalency

Registration for autonomous practice of psychology by a province or territorial registering/licensing body in Canada.

-Experience in the provision of psychological services such as personality assessments, differential diagnosis or other psychological services, with adults.
-Experience in liaising with external mental health providers and specialists.
-Experience in working in a multidisciplinary team approach in an occupational health context.

- Knowledge of the theories and ethical principles guiding the professional practice of psychology.
-Knowledge of principles and applications of psychological services (including mental health services), such as assessment, treatment, programs and crisis intervention, with an adult population.

- Ability to provide psychological services (including mental health services), such as assessment, treatment, programs and crisis intervention, with an adult population.
-Ability to work under pressure.
-Ability to review and analyze medical information and provide appropriate and relevant recommendations.
-Ability to work in a fast paced environment
-Ability to communicate effectively orally.
-Ability to communicate effectively in writing.

Testing/interviews will be conducted at locations of the employer's choice and may require candidates to travel to the test/interview location (Fredericton, New Brunswick).

Please note that candidates (including persons employed in the Public Service) will not be considered to be in travel status or on government business and travel costs will not be reimbursed. Consequently, candidates will be responsible for travel costs.
