Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED) is looking for candidates to staff Communications Support Officer positions on its strategic and corporate communications and digital strategies and corporate identity teams.

HOW TO APPLY?
Candidates must apply online through the Public Service Resourcing System (PSRS), and answer screening questions regarding education and essential and asset experience qualifications. When answering these questions, you must provide concrete examples demonstrating how you meet each qualification. Your answers to the screening questions may be used to assess your ability to communicate effectively in writing.
Your job application must also include a copy of your resumé. The resumé may be used as a secondary source to validate the education and experience outlined in your answers to the screening questions.

The intent of the process is to create a pool of candidates for Communications Support Officer positions at Canada Economic Development and in other federal organizations. For the moment, there are no positions available at CED; however, we invite you to apply so that you can be considered for future opportunities in the Federal Public Service. Other positions, identical or similar, with various terms (temporary or permanent), could be staffed from this pool.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS - The Communications team is looking for individuals with the following education and experience:
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in communications, public relations or a specialization related to the position’s duties OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCES:
Recent and significant experience* in developing or editing Web pages using Web markup languages, including HTML.
Recent and significant experience* in using social media in a professional communications context.
Recent and significant experience* in writing social media or website (Internet and intranet) content or news releases.
* Recent and significant experience is defined as approximately one (1) year of experience acquired in the past three (3) years.
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS - The following experiences could distinguish you from other candidates (assets):
EXPERIENCES:
Experience in conducting research and analyzing the effectiveness of websites, including statistical and trends analysis of Web metrics (e.g. Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics).
Experience in using graphics and formatting software (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe InDesign or equivalent) and/or experience in using video editing software (iMovie, Premiere Elements, Final Cut or equivalent).
Bilingual - Imperative (BBB/BBB)
The positions require the use of both official languages, English and French at the BBB/BBB levels. However, positions with various linguistic profiles could be staffed from the pool of candidates.
