You must provide concrete and detailed examples to clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience requirements listed in the essential qualifications and asset qualifications sections. The screening board cannot make any assumptions about your experience. It is not sufficient to say that you have the required qualifications or to list your current duties. One effective approach would be to use the wording of each experience criterion as a heading and then write one or two paragraphs demonstrating that you have the required experience and ensure that clear and accurate details are provided. The curriculum vitae may be a secondary source to confirm the experience described in the cover letter. APPLICATIONS THAT DO NOT CLEARLY DEMONSTRATE THAT THE CANDIDATE MEETS THE SCREENING CRITERIA WILL NOT BE GIVEN FURTHER CONSIDERATION.

• Top-down consideration of scores may be used at any stage of this process to determine the number of qualified candidates who will be considered further in the process.

• Essential qualifications and asset qualification will be evaluated against depth and breadth of activities.

• A written exam will be administered.

• Candidates must obtain the required pass mark for each qualification in order to be given further consideration in the selection process.

• Depending on the requirements of the position(s) being staffed from this process, for current or future vacancies, any or all of the asset qualifications, operational requirements, and organizational needs may be applied at the time of screening.

• Original proof of your education will be requested and must be provided during the selection process, in order to verify that candidates meet the education requirement. Candidates who are unable to provide proof that they meet this essential qualification as requested may be eliminated from the process. Also note, if the name on your education credentials does not match the name on your current photo identification, you will need to provide proof of your name change.

• Candidates with foreign credentials must provide proof of Canadian equivalency. Consult the Canadian Information Centre for International Credentials for further information at http://www.cicic.ca/

Candidates who apply on this selection process must include in their application a valid e-mail address and to make sure that this address is functional at all times and accepts messages from unknown users (some email systems block these types of email). It is the candidate’s responsibility to provide any changes to their personal information to the contact indicated on this job advertisement.

• Failure to respond to communications may be construed as a withdrawal from this process.

• In addition to all assessment methods, correspondence and communication in relation to this selection process may also be used to assess certain qualifications.

• Interviews will be conducted.

• Reference checks will be conducted.

• Applicants with disabilities: Should you require a technical aid or an alternative method of assessment to ensure an equitable assessment of your qualifications, please indicate so in your application.
