The Evaluation, Performance Measurement and Review Branch (EPMRB) at Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC) is currently seeking dynamic, goal-oriented and highly flexible individuals to join its team at the EC-04 level.
EPMRB's evaluation and performance measurement activities are focused on supporting the Department in achieving results for Canadians and the renewal of the relationship with Indigenous peoples.

THE POSITION IS WITH THE AUDIT AND EVALUATION SECTOR IN GATINEAU. However, if you are found qualified and if opportunities become available, you could be considered in other sectors of the Department of Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada.

EDUCATION:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in economics, sociology or statistics.
Candidates must always have a degree. The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and may have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
NOTE: The term “degree” refers to a baccalaureate or a higher level degree, as established by educational authorities.
EXPERIENCE:
• Significant experience* in contributing to and conducting program evaluations and/or social science research projects.
*Significant is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with continuous performance of the duties for a minimum period of two ( 2) years.
Experience contributing to performance measurement projects.
Experience undertaking research and in providing analytical support to evaluation and/or social science research projects.
Experience working in or with multi-disciplinary teams including consultants.
Experience contributing to the writing of evaluation and/or research reports.
Various language requirements
The current position to be staff is English essential.

Knowledge of the mandate of Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada and the major issues and trends facing the Department.
Knowledge of the federal government’s policies and standards on Evaluation and Performance Measurement.
Knowledge of evaluation methods and practices, including quantitative and qualitative analysis.
ABILITIES:
Ability to analyze and synthesis complex issues, information and ideas.
Ability to effectively communicate in writing.
Ability to effectively communicate orally.
Ability to work under pressure in a demanding, complex and fast-paced environment with conflicting priorities and tight deadlines.

Education
Graduation with a Master’s degree from a recognized university in a relevant field.
Experience working in an evaluation and/or performance measurement unit.
Experience with Indigenous and/or Northern issues and research.
Experience using data and/or statistical analysis software.
