Duties

Manages the information in MCM Applications for the Coordinated Investigative team.

Provides information management services including the business analysis and planning, to facilitate the collection, retrieval, sharing and analysis of investigative material obtained and generated during investigations.

Work environment

Major Case Management Operation Service Centre (MCMOSC) provides client, technical and compliance services for the electronic management of information and infrastructure for major cases. MCMOSC staff provide essential support to operational units with the creation, organization, auditing and general management of major case files, as well as providing significant assistance to investigators in the compilation of disclosure packages. MCMOSC also delivers training in electronic file management systems as well as the continuing development of policies and business rules for the implementation of these systems in consultation with the Criminal Justice Branch, Public Prosecution Service Canada, various investigative bodies and working groups.

Intent of the process

The intent of this process is to establish 5 pools of qualified candidates in each of the stated geographic locations: Surrey, Kelowna, Victoria, Nanaimo and Prince George, BC. You must therefore clearly identify which location(s) you are applying to. Each pool is intended to be for various positions with various tenures, various security profiles and various language requirements.

Once established, each pool will be valid for a period of 1 year, with the possibility of extension.

The immediate need is to staff permanent full-time vacancies in the following locations: Surrey (4), Kelowna (2), and Victoria, BC (1).

EXPERIENCE:
(EE1) *Recent experience managing information in a relational database.
(EE2) Recent experience working with advanced features in Microsoft Office and/or Adobe Acrobat such as inserting hyperlinks, bookmarking, and using formulae.
(EE3) Experience in creating reports using Business Intelligence (BI) applications such as Crystal Reports and SQL Server Reporting.
(EE4) Recent experience in coaching, mentoring, or supervising one or more staff.

- Some positions require the willingness and ability to work flexible hours on short notice to meet operational needs.

- Obtain a valid RCMP security clearance at a minimum of Reliability status. Some positions may require Secret or Top Secret security clearance.
