The RCMP is looking for a highly motivated nurse to take charge of disability management cases within the Occupational Health & Safety Services office here at "C" Division.

As a disability case management nurse, you will work in close interaction with various stakeholders (physicians, officers in charge, psychologists, etc.) involved at multiple levels, in order to provide ill and/or injured employees (policemen or civilian) with all necessary support during their recovery as well as facilitate their return to work after a prolonged absence.

Duties

Duties include managing disability cases, health assessments, screening and immunization, health and safety education, health promotion, advice and consultation.

The focus of disability case management is to support ill and/or injured workers and facilitate a timely rehabilitation and safe return to the workplace.

This process aims to staff a vacant position within the Occupational Health and Safety Services on a permanent basis.

OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION
Eligible for registration as a registered nurse in Quebec.

EXPERIENCE
EX1. Recent* and significant** experience as a nurse.
EX2. Recent* and significant** experience in managing disability management cases.

*Recent experience is defined as experience performed in the past 5 years and **significant is defined as having performed a broad range of related activities for a minimum of 2 years.

EX3. Experience working within a multidisciplinary team.
EX4. Experience in organizing, preparing and facilitating meetings including with employees on medical leave.
EX5. Experience in delivering presentations and presenting reports.
EX6. Experience in using various softwares including word processing, spreadsheet and e-mail.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with acceptable specialization in Nursing or other specialty relevant to the position.

Conditions of employment

Reliability Status security clearance

Hold and maintain an active, unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse with the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec (OIIQ).
