Intent of the process

Immediate need to staff one indeterminate position. A pool will be established from this selection process and may be used to staff temporary vacancies of various tenures (casual, term, assignment) at Correctional Service Canada.

You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION:

Secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of experience and/or training.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:

Experience assembling, disassembling and making minor repairs to modular and freestanding office furniture.
Experience moving items in a commercial/office environment (i.e. household contents, office furniture and equipment) including loading and off-loading moving trucks.
Experience in using computers and various software programs such as: Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel.

Information on language requirements

KNOWLEDGE:

Knowledge of safety considerations related to moving items (i.e. boxes, furniture).
Knowledge of dismantling, assembling and reconfiguring modular and freestanding office furniture and read (interpret) floor plans.

Ability to maintain inventory lists
Ability to communicate effectively orally

An interview will be administered. It is anticipated that interviews will be conducted between mid August and mid September.
