8. The successful candidate will have to obtain an RCMP Reliability or Top Secret security clearance. The process requires a Security/Reliability Interview, a field investigation in matters of Criminal Activities, credit/finances, education, employment, references, etc.

Duties

Reporting to the Regional Fleet Manager, the Fleet Equipment and Project Coordinator is responsible to ensure an adequate inventory of emergency equipment and lighting is available for the RCMP fleet of vehicles in the Atlantic Region. The incumbent identifies equipment that is no longer required and recommends appropriate methods of disposal and deals with vendors to arrange for product warranty. The incumbent is also responsible to work on research, special or annual projects in support of the Regional Fleet unit.

Intent of the process

Currently we have one indeterminate vacancy at the AS-01 group and level. A qualified pool of candidates may be established to staff this and other similar positions at the AS-01 group and level for term, indeterminate or acting at full or part-time hours.

The intent of this process is to establish a pool of qualified candidates inclusive of Public Service (PS) employees and Civilian Members (CM).
