The intent of this selection process is to staff one position on an indeterminate basis. A pool of qualified candidates may be established to staff similar positions with various tenures within Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (indeterminate, term, deployment, acting, secondment or assignment).

EDUCATION:
Graduation with a University degree or 3-year College diploma, from a recognized post-secondary institution.
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in analysing or investigating; technical, legal, financial or business information stored on computer systems.
- Experience in the development of technical procedures or plans.
- Experience in installing computer components, operating systems and software.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCE:
- *Significant experience enforcing regulatory or statutory requirements.
- **Recent and *significant experience using forensic computing tools.
- *Significant experience administering or query writing for MSSQL or MYSQL databases.
- **Recent and *significant experience administering enterprise email infrastructure.
- **Recent and *significant experience administering virtual networks.
NOTE:
*Significant experience means the depth of experience that would normally be acquired as part of your daily responsibilities in this field over a period of at least two years.
**Recent experience means within the last 3 years.
- Reliability and Security: Secret OR Reliability
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently outside the National Capital Regional.
- Willingness and ability to occasionally work overtime on short notice.
- Willingness and ability to be occasionally exposed to noisy, dirty and/or dusty environments, to lift or move computer equipment, boxes and/or other heavy items with the occasional requirement to use stairs to move equipment between floors.
- A valid driver’s license.

- A written exam may be administered.
- Interviews will be conducted.
- Reference checks will be conducted.
- Candidates must meet the essential qualifications to be appointed to a position.
- Candidates may be required to meet the asset qualifications or the organizational needs, depending on the requirements of the specific position being staffed.
