As a Sex Offender Registration Centre of Alberta (SORCA) Liaison Analyst key activities involve managing, reviewing, analyzing, researching, discussing and entering sex offender registrations and registration data. Liaisons respond to inquiries by offenders and police agencies. Specialized training is provided to enable Liaison Analysts to perform tactical queries for police investigating crimes of a sexual nature.
The Violent Crimes Linkage Analysis System (ViCLAS) AS-01 is responsible for managing, analyzing, researching, editing, discussing, entering, and auditing all major crime data pertaining to Violent Crime Report Submissions and reviewing the ViCLAS for accuracy and completeness. Liaising with internal and external law enforcement agencies to confirm and obtain missing information related to the ViCLAS.
This process will initially be used to staff one position on an indeterminate basis.
A qualified pool of candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions on a term and/or permanent basis within the Behavioural Sciences Group in Edmonton, AB.

Successful completion of secondary school education or an acceptable combination of education, training, and/or experience.
Experience in data input, retrieval, and verification of information in computerized information systems.
Experience composing, editing, and proof reading correspondence.
Experience responding to enquiries from internal and external clients.
PROS end user certification.
Experience in interpreting and applying legislation policies or directives.
