Key Activities:
• Assists and provides Realty Asset guidance to the Realty Asset Development Officer in order to develop plans and strategies for Realty Asset Management.
• Provides policy direction, advice and guidance on and conducts real property transactions.
• Manages, maintains, co-ordinates and oversees the administration of realty assets in the assigned portfolio
• Interfaces, establishes and maintains an ongoing working relationship with stakeholders.
• Supervises the Property Clerk.
• Assists in negotiating agreements and contracts, conducts market analysis and preliminary appraisals.
• Prepares formal documentation in accordance with the Ministerial Delegation for real property transactions.
• Provides revenue generation and cost reduction.
• Represents the Department at meetings, conducts site visits both local and remote and/or participates in an advisory capacity.
There is an immediate need to staff one (1) indeterminate position in Kingston, Ontario. A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions.

EDUCATION:
ED1 - Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution.
EXPERIENCE:
EX1 - *Recent experience advising **management on ***real property transactions.
EX2 - *Recent and ****significant experience in acquiring and disposing of real property.
EX3 - *Recent experience in establishing, managing and disposing of commercial real estate leases.
EX4 - *Recent experience supervising employees.
*Recent is defined as experience gained within the last five (5) years.
**Management for the intent of this process is defined as the collective body of those who manage or direct an enterprise.
***For the purposes of this process real property refers to property consisting of land or buildings.
****Significant is defined as the depth and breadth associated with having approximately two (2) cumulative years of experience.

OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION:
AQ1 - Certified Property Manager (CPM) from Real Estate Institute of Canada.
AQ2 - Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) certification.
AQ3 - Appraisal Institute of Canada (AIC) certification.
AQ4 - Survey engineering technician certification.
EXPERIENCE:
AQ5 - Real estate or property management work experience.
AQ6 - Realtor and/or appraiser and/or law office completing property transactions experience.
AQ7 - Land Survey experience.
AQ8 - Experience in project management.
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
OR1 – Willing and able to work overtime, as required.
OR2 – Willing and able to travel, as required.

A written exam may be administered.
Reference checks may be conducted.
